Brazil to present National IoT Plan at Futurecom

Brazil’s Ministry of Science, Technology, Innovation and Communications, along with the the National Bank of Economic and Social Development (BNDES) and McKinsey will reveal the main points of the National IoT Plan at the Futurecom 2017 event, opening on 2 October. The partners will outline in detail the policies, action plan and deployment strategies for connecting devices and equipment. 

For the implementation of the National IoT Plan, the institutions involved carried out preliminary studies that identified four priority verticals to receive the first services focused on improving the population’s quality of life and sustainable development through technology. They are Cities, Health, Agribusiness and Industry. The plan foresees that these policies will be applied between 2018 and 2022.
