Largar tudo e viajar o mundo sem data para voltar! Esse é o sonho de muita gente. E é isto que está fazendo o designer de aplicativos Garrett Gee, 25 anos, e sua família.
Recentemente Garrett ganhou uma bolada ao vender sua startup para Snapchat por US$ 54 milhões. Ele desenvolveu um aplicativo –o Scan–, que escaneia, via câmera do smartphone, códigos de barra e códigos QR.

Mas Garrett garante que ainda não usou nenhum centavo desse dinheiro. A viagem, segundo ele, está sendo bancada com a venda de todos os bens que a família tinha antes de se tornar um milionário.
Toda a aventura, batizada de Bucket List (algo como ‘coisas para fazer antes de morrer’) está sendo registrada no Instagram e no YouTube. Garrett, a mulher Jessica, 29 anos, e os pesqunos Dorothy e Manilla já passaram pelas Bahamas, Fiji, Havaí, Taiti, Indonésia, Tonga, Austrália, Tailândia e Nova Zelândia.
A ideia inicial era que a viagem durasse apenas cinco meses. Depois, mudaram para nove, e agora não planejam mais voltar para Utah.
Nos próximos seis meses, a família pretende ir para a Coréia do Sul, China, Nepal, Butão, República Checa, Grécia, Croácia, e depois para a Europa Ocidental.

“BAHH!!?!” ..I think that’s the noise I made when I first saw this great leatherback turtle!! 😳😳😳 Here’s the story : At 3:45am last night we got a phone call telling us a leatherback had come to shore to lay her eggs! We grabbed our flashlight and camera (and pants 😉 and rushed out the door!! It’s size was unbelievable. We watched for hours as it came to shore, made its hole, then went into a trance and laid over 100 eggs. We were lucky to have it around long enough for the sun to rise and capture a few images in the morning light!! It was life-changing amazing!!
